Abdominal etching generally takes from 1-2 hours. You must wear a pressure garment 24 hours per day for 2-4 weeks following surgery, only removing it to shower. Most patients return to work 1-3 days following the procedure. Light stretching and gentle walking may be done after 14 days and normal activities can be resumed after 4 weeks.
