What causes hyperhidrosis?

There are two types of hyperhidrosis:

• Primary hyperhidrosis: often an inherited disorder, which means a member of your family may have had it.
• Secondary hyperhidrosis: caused by a condition, medications or behavior (like chronic alcoholism).
